FAQs

What time does school start?   The first bell rings at 7:50 a.m. Classes start at 8 a.m.

What is the student drop off procedure?   Parents are asked to follow the traffic pattern. Enter the alley, stop, drop child(ren) off, proceed out onto Sinclair Street. Playground supervision begins at 7:30 a.m.

How does it differ with inclement weather?   Supervision is in Zahn Hall (the basement of the school) until the first bell rings.

What time does school let out? And, where do parents pick up their children?   School lets out at 3 p.m., unless otherwise specified. Parents, caregivers, and guardians may pick up their child(ren) from the playground at the rear of the school.

When do students pay for hot lunch?   Hot lunch payments are due the first day of the week.

Do students get a drink with their hot lunch?   Yes. Milk is provided. (choice of white or chocolate)

Can students purchase extra milk with their hot lunch?   Yes. For an additional 50 cents, students may purchase another milk.

Can students who pack a lunch purchase milk?   Yes. For 50 cents, students who pack a lunch may purchase milk. They may also purchase additional milk for another 50 cents.

What is Jeans Day? What clothes are appropriate on that day?   Jeans Day is a day in which students do NOT have to wear their uniforms. Instead, they are allowed to wear jeans and any shirt to match. Girls may also choose to wear non-uniform dresses.

What is Spirit Day?   Spirit Day is a day for students to show their St. Bernard pride. It is celebrated every Friday. On this day students may wear their Pride Wear T-shirts along with their uniform pants/skorts/skirts instead of their typical uniform attire.

What time of year can students wear uniform shorts?   From the beginning of the school year (August) until October 15. Then again in the spring, starting on April 15 until the end of the school year (May).
